Sử dụng cấu trúc Noun Phrase trong IELTS Writing hiệu quả
Đối với IELTS Writing, có một số cấu trúc ngữ pháp cần biết để đạt mức điểm cao, và các bạn cần chú ý cách sử dụng những cấu trúc đó như thế nào cho hiệu quả! Với Noun phrase, hãy xem chúng ta sử dụng như thế nào là tốt nhất nhé!
Cấu trúc Noun Phrase trong IELTS Writing Task 1:
- There + be + adj + noun + in + noun phrase: sử dụng Noun phrase trong câu miêu tả XU HƯỚNG tăng/giảm
There was a gradual rise in the price of oil.
There has been a sharp drop in the price of oil.
- Noun phrase + V + adv
The price of oil rose gradually.
The percentages of homes dropped dramatically.
- There + be + noun + in + noun phrase
There has been an increase in the cost of coffee.
- Time period (khoảng thời gian) + witnessed/saw + a/an + adj + noun + in + noun phrase
The year 2016 witnessed a significant increase of 500 in the number of student
- Clause, followed by + Noun Phrase ( . . . theo sau là . . .)
There was a dramatic growth in the number of factories in Japan to 120.000 in 2010, followed by a sharp decrease to 1,000 in 2015.
The number of Red Bull sold in store A decreased to 20 cans in 1990, followed by an increase to 50 cans in 2010
Cấu trúc Noun Phrase trong IELTS Writing Task 2:
- It is (not always) thought + adj + Noun phrase: cấu trúc dùng khi đưa ra quan niệm, ý kiến hay thái độ của xã hội, của công đồng hay nhiều người về vấn đề nào đó.
Ex: It is not always thought essential that Miss Vietnam must have the great appearance
*Ngoài thought chúng ta còn có thể dùng believed, hoped…
- Rút gọn các vế trong câu, tạo hình thức formal và ngắn gọn hơn: S+V+O => Noun phrase
EX: The labour market is becoming increasingly competitive, which causes many people who do not have any qualifications to find it difficult get a good job.
=> An increasingly competitive labour market means fewer decent job opportunities for those without any qualifications.
EX: If children gain effective communication skills at school, they are more likely to besuccessful in their future careers
=> Effective communication skills (gained from schools) may contribute to career success (later in life)
